What the heck does Viloma mean?

Viloma is a Sanskrit word meaning "against the natural flow."
In yogic practice, it refers to a pranayama technique involving interrupted breathing.
To us, Viloma embodies the act of honoring what feels right for your body and mind—choosing your own rhythm over the status quo and forging your own path.
Viloma Wellness Collective was created as a community platform for connection and exploration—where plant and flower medicines, Yoga, and Pranayama blend to support a more regulated, resilient nervous system.

Viloma brings together ancient traditions and modern wellness — from Yin yoga classes rooted in TCM & Yogic practices, nervous system regulation tools, to consciously made herb & Australian Bush flower remedies that support your wellbeing.

Meet Kaila

Hi, I’m the founder of Viloma Wellness Collective. I started Viloma for freedom — in my own life and to share the freedom that comes from having a calm, regulated, and resourced nervous system. I wanted to create something that interweaves the practices that helped me navigate my own challenges with dysregulation & disconnection from my body: movement, herbal medicine, nervous system support, and deep community.

The abundant Dharawal Country supports me to grow food and medicinal plants, make small-batch herbal remedies, and channel my heart into Viloma Wellness Collective.

I am a qualified Vinyasa and Yin Yoga Teacher Trainer, a perpetual student of herbalism, and I live with intention paying attentions to the rhythmic and cyclical nature of my environment and my own body.
My hope is to share these tools and rituals with the Viloma Community so that we can all exist as more grounded, regulated and resources humans.
